The main characteristics of the Bulldogs are: intelligence, braveness, patience and agility. Although these traits of character are inheritable, obedience should be trained from a very little age and then the dog will come to you by your first call. Socialization also plays a very important role in avoiding aggressive tendencies.
Bulldogs Rescues Pictures - Two types of the breed
There are actually two types of Bulldog breeds. They are: the Johnson type that is bigger (90-150 pounds), more aggressive and barks without any visible reason, and the Scott type that is smaller (70-95 pounds), quieter and softer in temperament. The Johnson type can be more aggressive with the other animals. Both of these types are great with children.
Bulldogs Rescues Pictures - Breed's Price
These dogs are generally very expensive but actually they are worth their cost. Nowadays the dogs are used as good companions and friendly pets; they are also good bodyguards and are very devoted to their masters. Thus, typically the cost is between 1000 and 1500 dollars each and the price usually depends on the quality and purpose for which you are buying the dog.
For example, the dogs that are bought to be used for protection, show and breeding will usually cost more than the dogs that are bought as pets. If you buy a dog for show and protection, there should be all the necessary documents that guarantee the quality of the breed. Bulldogs are good both as pets and show dogs.
